Common Placement Programme (CPP) for the Present Final Year (2012 Passing Out) Students of the affiliated colleges of our University. M/s Tata Consultancy Services (Business Process Division) conducted Campus Placement between  27th to  29th of January, 2012. The Department of Extension, Career Guidance,   Bharathiar University, Coimbatore conducted this programme. The selected studens list.

Eligibility Criteria : ( as given by TCS)

 
Selection Process:  Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Technical round followed by HR Interview.
Test Duration –45 Minutes (around 40-45 questions – Multiple choice), Aptitude test consists of Verbal, Analytical, Mathematical and Computer usage skills.

The eligible candidates who meet the above criteria shall Walk-in to the above mentioned Venues for the Test & Group Discussion. Those who clear written test and Group Discussion will be taken to selected host colleges for final process. Candidates would need to bring one copy of their Resumes, one Passport size photograph and College ID Proof for the Recruitment Drive. For Aptitude test the student should bring only Ball pen (black or blue).  The Colleges are requested to send the database in the Excel Format only in the following order before 18th January 2012. The colleges which send more than 30 students are requested to depute their placement officers. The students must bring their identity cards. As we expect large volume of students for testing, the personal interview will go upto 9.00 p.m. Hence P.O’s should accompany women students.
Other Details:

For the first time, OMR Sheets are used for testing purpose. Hence Placement Officers are requested to orient the students about the usage of OMR Sheets.

Students who are offered invite letter by the TCS will have to undergo a month long Initial Learning Programme (ILP) either at Erode or Coimbatore. Those who clear the ILP will be given formal appointment order. The initial package will be around Rs.12,000/- per month. The initial posting will be Chennai/Bangalore.

The Candidates who have been offered placement in the Wipro Technologies in the month of December 2011 are not eligible to take part in the current event. The Placement Officers are requested to inform the host college regarding the number of students who are likely to attend the event.

University/College/TCS does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process.
TCS has not authorized any agency/partner to collect any fee for recruitment.

In this regard the country manager would like to address the Placement Officers about the recruitment.  Kindly depute the Placement Officer with a staff of Commerce and Business Management of your college to attend a Planning meeting to be held at our department on 7th February 2012 (Tuesday) at 10.00 a.m. The HCL will also organize a training programme for faculty members during March 2012 to institute a course/paper for Commerce and Business Management students with the support of University.

TCS Placements

TCS (Chennai) will be visiting selected affiliated colleges for campus placement between 27th – 29th January 2012. A team of 30 H.R. Officers will be conducting aptitude test and H.R. Interview at Erode, Coimbatore (two venues), Gobi and Udumalai depends on the number of students who register for each venue.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Not More than two years of gap in Education
• 50% in the X, XII, UG/PG (upto last results)
• No Standing Arrears as on date in UG/PG.

Assessment Process

Interested students are requested to register with their placement officers and attend the Aptitude Tests. The Aptitude Test will consists of Basic Mathematics, written English Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Mental Application and Basic Keyboarding Skills. In the tests there will be 40-50 questions in Multiple Choice Pattern.

Students should bring Student ID Card, HB pencil and Eraser for aptitude tests.

TCS will organize a training for SC ST and economically weaker graduates for four weeks for all passedout gradutes of all streams

For your ready reference, we furnish the desirable profile of the two training batches -

1) The candidates would be graduates in arts and sciences and would have passed out in 2011 or 2010 academic years.

2) They would either be from SC/ST communities or would hail from economically weaker families (any community) with annual income  below Rs 75,000/-

3) The TCS Free Employability Training would enable the candidates to significantly improve in English communication, basic corporate etiquette  and confidence of approach . The duration of the training would be around 90 hours (four hours per day per batch for 23 days). each training batch would consist of 35 candidates maximum

4) An orientation starts on Monday, 29th August at 10.30 am at Bharathiar University.
     The training would commence the very next day at the University in a classroom.

5) On the very next day after the conclusion of the free training (90 hours), TCS Recruitment Team would visit the training venue and hold test and interviews.
     Successful candidates would receive conditional letters of invitation leading to entry level employment in TCS BPO  for work involving non-voice back  office processes, transaction processing and data base management.

  6) All candidates who have been regular in attendance during the training , would receive TCS Certificates.

The Non-Voice Process Division of TCS, Chennai will organise a three-week free employment training at Bharathiar University from May 25.

According to a release, the training will be held for graduates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minorities. They Should have completed graduation in arts, Science, Commerce and humanities in the last two years.. Those who are awaiting the final results are also eligible to attend. Candidates who undergo the training will be called for a separate placement, interview on completion of the training.

Those intrested can send in their resumes to Head, Department of Extension, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46. before 23rd of May. A basic test will also be held on May 25.

"ANNUAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE

 Smart Training Resources) would like to introduce  as the pioneering leader in Placement Training. 

To meet the ever-increasing demand for our various courses, bright freshers as Executive Trainees to be groomed to take up executive positions in academic functions.

Training extends over 6 months and will be holistic covering theoretical inputs, practical training and on the job practice besides a pre-planned and designed regime of monitoring and evaluation encompassing tests, demos and mock sessions. During the training period, all selected trainees will be stationed at our Resource Centre at Coimbatore and after successful completion of the training, they will be inducted into suitable positions and posted in any of our centres at Chennai, Coimbatore or Bangalore.

Stipend during the training period will be Rs.12000 per month. On successful completion of training and the consequent induction, the monthly salary will be Rs.18000.  Besides the hike in salary, confirmation also gives entitlement for incentives and other benefits.
